Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting operations across a single operating company. The role emphasizes the monthly close, revenue recognition, and project costing in a fast-growing, PE-backed platform.

You will partner with the regional finance team, manage payroll, AR/AP, and internal controls, and help scale finance processes as the company grows across multiple locations. A CPA and 5–8 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on monthly close ownership.
• Strong command of GAAP, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience leading close and reporting across multiple entities or subsidiaries.
• Experience with ERP tools (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan) and learning new systems.
• Excellent Excel and data-modeling skills with ability to structure ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting for a single operating company: monthly close, reporting, controls, payroll oversight, and audit support.
• Manage revenue recognition, job costing, and, where applicable, inventory management and cycle counts.
• Prepare financial packages and variance analyses; manage 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain and improve controls, budgets, KPIs, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with regional finance team on ERP implementations and integrations.
• Develop accounting staff where a team exists; oversee payroll, AR, and AP.
