Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Hospital Occupational Therapist to join a comprehensive care team in North Carolina. The role involves patient assessment, plan development and coordination with multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care.

You will ensure documentation compliance, maintain productivity standards, and participate in ongoing education and quality initiatives while supporting patients and families through the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• An OT degree from an accredited program (B.S. or M.S.).
• Current state licensure to practice occupational therapy.
• CPR Basic Life Support, Level C certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care assessments and treatments according to standard of practice.
• Ensures patient evaluations and treatments are comprehensive and functional; helps establish treatment goals and plans.
• Maintains accurate documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes and ICD-10 codes.
• Meets department productivity standards and assists in scheduling to meet patient needs.
• Participates in process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency of services.
• Promotes professional development and education of staff and participates in in-service trainings.
• Ensures effective communication with patients, families, physicians and colleagues.
• Delivers age-appropriate care, adapting to growth, development and aging processes.
