Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist with a hand therapy focus to support the Gateway clinic and related Atrium Health outpatient sites in the Charlotte region. You will evaluate patients, develop hand therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and independence.

The role requires supervising OT staff, documenting progress, and providing patient education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in OT from an accredited program is required.
• Applicable state OT license is required.
• BLS certification per policy guidelines is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises OT staff and students involved in patient care.
• Evaluates patients and creates individualized OT plans.
• Documents evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Re-evaluates patients as status changes and adjusts goals.
• Coordinates patient scheduling, treatment programs, and discharge planning.
