Job summary

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy invites motivated occupational and physical therapists to specialize in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. If you have a solid hand therapy foundation from clinical education, this role offers mentorship, advanced training, and hands-on practice.

You will set clear expectations for patient progress, deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a license (or be license eligible) to practice OT or PT in New York.
• Completed Level II fieldwork or outpatient rotation in hand therapy or equivalent.
• Commitment to hand therapy via continuing education or certifications.
• Aiming to become Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with team support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and progress individualized hand therapy plans including manual therapy, exercises, orthotics, and patient education.
• Empower patients with home programs to support goals and recovery.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
