Job summary

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking motivated occupational and physical therapists who specialize in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. This role offers mentorship, advanced training, and hands-on practice to build expertise in hand therapy within a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates hold NY OT or PT licensure, have completed Level II fieldwork or equivalent in hand therapy, and are committed to ongoing education toward CHR certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Occupational or Physical Therapy in New York.
• Level II fieldwork placement or outpatient rotation in hand therapy OR equivalent experience.
• Commitment to hand therapy through continuing education coursework or certifications in upper extremity rehabilitation.
• Aspire to become a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with support from the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and progress individualized treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, custom orthotic fabrication, and patient education.
• Empower patients with home programs and strategies that support their functional goals and recovery.
• Collaborate closely with referring physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional outcomes.
