Qualifications

• Hold a license to practice Occupational Therapy in New York.
• Completed a Level II fieldwork placement or outpatient rotation in hand therapy or equivalent experience.
• If transitioning from another practice area, demonstrate commitment to hand therapy through CE coursework or certifications in upper extremity rehabilitation.
• Aim to become Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with support of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and progress individualized treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, custom orthotics, and patient education.
• Empower patients with home programs and strategies aligned with functional goals and recovery.
• Collaborate closely with referring physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional outcomes.
