Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will assess patients, develop recovery plans, and contribute to orthotic fabrication.

You will supervise OT staff and students, collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, and advance outpatient therapy programs. A Bachelor's is required; a DPT/OT Doctorate is preferred, with 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab and current CHT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OT Doctorate preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand orthoses.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists in care planning.
