Job summary

Tempe, AZ-based TurbineAero is seeking a detail-oriented hand finishing technician to perform hand finishing, deburring and inspection using prescribed tooling.

The role requires reading blueprints, work instructions and diagrams, maintaining a clean workstation and adhering to safety and FAA-related requirements. Cross training in multiple disciplines and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Hand finishing and deburring to required specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation following 5S principles.
• Familiar with FAA Part 145 repair context (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform hand finishing, deburring and inspection using appropriate tooling.
• Chamfer, radius and grind parts to blueprints and work instructions.
• Read, interpret and execute work instructions and diagrams.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain housekeeping.
• Cross-train in various disciplines within the hand finish area.

Description

With little supervision, perform hand finishing, deburring and inspection, using appropriate tooling as required.

This position requires a positive attitude. Cross training is mandatory in various disciplines within the hand finish area.

Requirements

• Be familiar with all tools required for hand finish.
• Hand grinding various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension
• Chamfer, radius and grind parts to blueprints and work instructions.
• Read and understand basic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Clean and grit blast
• Read, interpret and execute work instructions.
• Follow all company policies including safety instructions.
• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices.
• High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years’ experience in component repair
• 2 years’ experience with inspection tooling and processes
• Familiar with FAA part 145 Repair Stations, understands and can apply regulatory requirements (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with Lean and 5S principles (preferred)
