Job summary

TurbineAero in Tempe, AZ seeks a skilled Hand Finisher/Inspector to perform hand finishing, deburring and inspection with appropriate tooling. Cross training in multiple disciplines within the hand finish area is mandatory.

Requirements include familiarity with hand finishing tools, ability to read blueprints and drawings, and 2 years’ experience in component repair and inspection tooling. High school diploma required; FAA Part 145 knowledge preferred. Lean and 5S experience also preferred.

Qualifications

• Be familiar with all tools required for hand finish.
• Hand grinding airfoil shapes to finish contour and dimension.
• Chamfer, radius and grind parts to blueprints and work instructions.
• Read and understand basic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Clean and grit blast components.
• Read, interpret and execute work instructions.
• Follow all company policies including safety instructions.
• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a neat workstation and promote good housekeeping.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 2 years’ experience in component repair.
• 2 years’ experience with inspection tooling and processes.
• Familiar with FAA Part 145 Repair Stations (preferred).
• Lean and 5S principles (preferred).

This position requires a positive attitude. Cross training is mandatory in various disciplines within the hand finish area.
