Job Description

The Night Auditor is responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and shift reports. The Night Auditor will also attend to guest needs, such as check-in/check-out, reservations, and answering questions.

  • Proactive thinking, ensuring guest security, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
  • Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
  • Checking the front desk log for issues and special requests.
  • Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
  • Processing guest registrations, including payments.
  • Preparing express checkout folios.
  • Maintaining room status inventory.
  • Communicating shift information to relevant staff.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the lobby and bathroom as needed.
  • Ensuring smooth shift transitions by communicating pertinent information.
  • Collaborating with hotel departments to ensure high-quality service.
  • Responding to inquiries about hotel services, directions, and features.
  • Completing shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
