Job description

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Audit responsibilities include balancing duties, managing daily paperwork, and preparing shift reports. During these duties, the Night Auditor will also attend to guest needs such as check-ins, check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions.

Responsibilities:

1. Proactive thinking with guest security in mind, creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
2. Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
3. Checking the front desk log for issues, special requests, etc.
4. Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
5. Processing guest registrations, including payment collection.
6. Preparing express checkout folios.
7. Maintaining room status inventory.
8. Communicating shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
9. Maintaining and cleaning the lobby and bathrooms as needed.
10. Ensuring a smooth transition between shifts by communicating pertinent information.
11. Collaborating with all hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
12. Answering inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and local attractions.
13. Completing all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
14. Performing other duties as assigned by management.
