Summary:

This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary; alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes; identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming product; and reporting results to management. All team members are responsible for safety, including personal safety and food safety.

Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Ability to complete Tyson paperwork; lead by example; motivate the hourly workforce; good problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; interpret product specifications; function well under stress; flexible to work where and when needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting of 70 lbs. or more.
  • Supervisory: None.
  • Travel: None.
