Job Summary

The FSQR Technician is responsible for testing and inspecting products and processes at various production stages. Evaluates data to ensure quality, safety, legality, and authenticity of all products.

This is a 3rd-shift position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality inspections of equipment, materials, and processes.
  • Perform routine HACCP (FSP) inspections.
  • Inspect plant processes and products as prescribed by the FSQR Manager.
  • Calibrate laboratory and detection equipment as applicable.
  • Validate analytical test methods.
  • Perform analytical testing of in-process and finished products, record data accurately.
  • Test incoming materials and ingredients per schedule.
  • Follow all safety standards and guidelines during work.
  • Maintain records of preventative maintenance for laboratory equipment.
  • Manage FSQR document storage and backups.
  • Provide backup support to other FSQR technicians as needed.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least three years of related lab experience preferred.
  • Experience with HACCP, GMPs, and BRC preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Self-motivated, energetic, able to work independently and in teams, proactive, and driven to improve systems and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of ISP, GFSI standards, and regulations like FDA, FSMA, HACCP.
  • Ability to understand and follow company policies and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator at all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and work in an industrial environment with exposure to temperature changes, dust, machinery, and moisture.
