Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Silverdale, WA, seeks a Gym Supervisor to oversee branch operations at Haselwood Family YMCA. The role focuses on safety, member engagement, and delivering quality experiences aligned with our core values.

You will supervise gym activities, assist with setup and tear-down for leagues and events, and foster an inclusive environment. Part-time position up to 25 hours per week with benefits and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years of age or older required.
• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen; Lifeguarding certifications preferred.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive work environment.
• Ability to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and ongoing training as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the gym space to ensure the safety and well-being of members.
• Ensure members are using facilities and equipment properly.
• Connect with members and develop positive relationships.
• Create a welcoming and enjoyable environment.
• Plan, lead and participate in program activities.
• Provide orientations to members of all fitness levels.
• Meet performance targets by supporting YMCA goals.
• Assist staff leadership with campaigns and events.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation protocols.
