Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Gymnastics Instructor to join our team at the Haselwood Family YMCA in Silverdale, WA. The role involves providing direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for children, teaching gymnastics skills and progression.

This part-time position offers compensation between $18.54 and $22.36 per hour, with up to 25 hours per week. Candidate should have six months of gymnastics teaching experience and be committed to diversity and completion of

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience teaching gymnastics.
• Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment.
• Positive attitude and experience with children of all ages.
• Knowledge of gymnastics techniques and safety rules.
• CPR/First Aid and AED certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans with progression appropriate to age and ability.
• Instruct gymnasts in a safe and fun manner.
• Outline class lesson plans to keep children moving.
• Enforce all safety rules in the gymnastics gym.
• Finish each class with a fun group activity.
• Incorporate YMCA values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility.
