Job summary

Club4 Fitness is seeking a Manager on Duty - Closer to oversee gym operations at Westhaven Knoxville. The role includes supervision of staff, sales duties to attract new members, and ensuring peak customer service. Hours include weekdays and weekends with rotation among CLUB Assistants General Managers.

Responsibilities cover training, scheduling, member services, and facility upkeep. Requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and a high school diploma. CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in fitness.
• Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic.
• Strong problem resolution skills.
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM and AGMs in training and developing staff (front desk and trainers).
• Engage in sales duties: call prospective members and respond to online inquiries; maintain welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide backup support to Club management when needed.
• Schedule and supervise staff.
• Resolve or escalate employee issues or concerns.
• Handle front desk tasks: answer phones, check members in, sign up new members, give tours, address member requests.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility.
• Assist in ordering supplies within budget.
• Track statistics and compile weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
• Provide backup support for absent staff.
