Baseline Fitness in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and ensure a judgement-free, member-focused experience while driving financial success.

The role involves recruiting, training, scheduling and supervising staff including Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians; maintaining a welcoming atmosphere; overseeing front desk activities and member interactions.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Experience as a Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness.
• Solid supervisory, diplomatic and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Hard-working, enthusiastic and energetic.
• Strong problem-resolution skills.
• Current CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff including Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests while ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup support to the Club Manager as needed.
• Schedule and supervise staff.
• Oversee front desk activities: answer phones, check members into the system, process new member sign-ups, take prospective members on tours, and facilitate all member requests, issues and questions.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• Order supplies within the specified budget based on club requirements.
• Track statistics and reports weekly, monthly and annually.
• Provide backup support for any absent employee.
