Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep clubs safe, clean, and fully operational. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs across cardio and strength equipment, HVAC, lighting, and plumbing.

You will work with club management to complete work orders promptly, maintain accurate logs, and uphold Planet Fitness brand standards while delivering a reliable, well-maintained fitness environment for members and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance with a strong safety focus.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and working in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Complete preventative maintenance on fitness equipment and club facilities.
• Repair or coordinate repairs for cardio and strength equipment, tanning beds, and other amenities.
• Maintain HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical components, doors, flooring, ceilings, and walls.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize downtime; lubricate and replace worn parts.
• Maintain maintenance logs and coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and ensure life-safety equipment is inspected.
