Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold a safe, clean, and fully operational club. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs to keep cardio, strength, and spa equipment running smoothly.

You will work with club management to resolve work orders promptly, minimize downtime, and ensure equipment uptime while adhering to Planet Fitness standards.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to diagnose and repair gym equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and safety basics.
• Comfort working independently and following maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Complete preventative maintenance on fitness equipment and club facilities.
• Repair or coordinate repairs for cardio and strength equipment, tanning beds, HydroMassage units, and other amenities.
• Maintain HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, electrical components, doors, floors, and ceilings.
• Ensure restrooms and common areas remain in excellent condition and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain maintenance logs and coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs.
