Job summary

VASA Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our Matteson club safe, functional, and welcoming. You’ll handle routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime.

You’ll use CMMS/work-order systems and collaborate with leaders to ensure reliable operations while gaining hands-on skills in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience preferred, but training is available
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
• Experience with CMMS or maintenance work-order systems
• Basic computer skills to access repair guides and track work orders

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on club equipment and building systems
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime
• Maintain cardio, strength, and other workout equipment in safe condition
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
• Document work, parts used, and repairs in the CMMS
• Complete club walks and communicate safety concerns to leadership
• Take ownership of general facility upkeep including painting and carpentry
• Collaborate with the General Manager, District Manager, vendors, and contractors
