Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Operations Engineer to support process systems in clinical and non-clinical Regulated Bioanalytics laboratories at a client site in West Point, PA. The role involves validating equipment, maintaining automation and data systems, and collaborating with global teams to ensure compliant laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience or Master’s in engineering/science
• Authorization to work in the country indefinitely without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with divisional/enterprise Information teams, global infrastructure, and risk/security to ensure compliant laboratory support
• Support lifecycle of GxP equipment including acquisition, installation, maintenance, and retirement
• Apply deep expertise in computer system validation for equipment like liquid handlers, plate readers, and PCR systems
• Maintain service schedules for instrument maintenance and calibration per SOPs
• Coordinate service activities with vendors, service engineers, and facilities staff
• Develop knowledge of laboratory equipment such as liquid handlers, plate washers/readers, and PCR
• Serve as system administrator for equipment applications including temperature monitoring systems and alarm handling
• Collaborate with lab ops staff for process improvement and cross-site support
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement in routine operations
• Assist in developing reporting, analytics, and visualization for clinical operations and admin processes
• Ensure automation systems are maintained in a validated state per GxP requirements
• Review documents, preventive maintenance, and SOPs for compliance
• Enhance LAMP infrastructure for PM tracking within the client’s department
• Provide compliance support by recording PM/CM in electronic logbook
• Oversee outsourced pipette calibration and generate out-of-calibration reports
• Perform Hamilton verification after PM/CM and log results
• Use technical knowledge to ensure efficient operation of automated systems
• Participate in compliance audits and training
• Provide client services support for lab applications
