Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Lab Engineer to keep 5,000 lab PCs operating securely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and collaborate with scientists to ensure instruments and data flows run smoothly.

The role requires a 3–5 year track record in a GxP lab setting, a BS in CS/IT, and strong AD/ServiceNow/WIN/LINUX skills. Onsite presence in King of Prussia is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 3–5 years of relevant experience in a GxP lab environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (CS/IT).
• Ability to work fully onsite in King of Prussia, PA.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
• Proficient in end-user computing/desktop support (Break/Fix).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the global infrastructure of 5,000 laboratory PCs.
• Troubleshoot issues related to devices, networks, and lab software.
• Secure and harden hardware.
• Image and onboard computers onto network and domain.
• Implement and maintain data backup solutions for lab equipment.
• Collaborate with scientists to troubleshoot data flows for instruments.
• Support digital transformation by upgrading lab hardware and processes.
• Explore automated solutions for scientific challenges.
• Align technology with scientific workflows to create a digital ecosystem.
• Test and validate software across environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
