Job summary

Century Arms in North Palm Beach, FL, seeks a firearms technician to provide high level customer service on firearms sold by the company. You will troubleshoot and repair firearms for internal and external customers, check headspace, and assemble firearms of a difficult nature.

The role requires general mechanical ability, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office for documentation. You will follow safety policies, maintain work areas, and support production prototyping as needed.

Qualifications

• Interact effectively with a variety of people.
• General mechanical ability is required.
• Sound problem-solving skills to help facilitate solutions identified during inspection.
• Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions/organize and prioritize accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs firearms for internal and external customers.
• Checks headspace on firearms and adjusts as necessary.
• Repairs stocks, aligns sights and tests fires.
• Assembles firearms of a difficult nature.
• Fabricates simple tooling, tools and fixtures.
• Assists in production prototyping.
• Documents problems on customer returns as required.
• Inspects first piece samples from vendors and documents findings.
• Progressively improves upon and maintains acceptable inspection numbers per Company standards.
• Always stays on task with assigned duties.
• Adheres to all employment and safety policies.
• Wear all necessary PPE as directed by the Company.
• Maintains workstation and department area cleanliness.
• Complete all required paperwork timely and accurately.
• Report maintenance/safety issues to supervisor.
• Maintain respect, courtesy, a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Other duties will be assigned.
