Job summary

BARNHART CRANE & RIGGING seeks a Business Development Manager to grow industrial storage and project buffering across the Gulf Coast. The role focuses on protecting asset value, reducing schedule risk, and aligning with engineering and operations to embed storage solutions early in projects.

You’ll build a pipeline across EPC, energy, and petrochemical accounts, nurture relationships with key decision-makers, and coordinate with Barnhart branches for network-wide solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of business development or sales experience selling complex, solution-based services into industrial, energy, or petrochemical accounts.
• Strong understanding of the Gulf Coast industrial landscape and how storage/ buffering needs arise in turnaround, outage, and capital project cycles.
• Able to travel extensively within the Gulf Coast region.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities for industrial storage and project buffering across the Gulf Coast.
• Develop a dedicated pipeline for storage and preservation of mission-critical equipment with plant reliability and maintenance stakeholders.
• Position storage/buffering as risk mitigation and schedule protection to protect assets and avoid delays.
• Build a pipeline across EPC contractors, energy/petrochemical owners, manufacturers, and port-related businesses in the Gulf Coast.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project management to create customized proposals and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Engage early in project and turnaround planning to design storage/buffering into projects before scope finalization.
• Represent Barnhart at industry events to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
• Provide regular forecasts, market intelligence, and revenue/gross margin targets to leadership.
