Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging seeks a Business Development Manager to grow industrial storage and project buffering across the Gulf Coast. You will collaborate with engineering and operations to embed storage solutions into projects from the outset, not afterth fact.

The role focuses on risk mitigation, schedule protection, and developing a robust pipeline across EPCs, energy, and petrochemical customers. Travel across the Gulf Coast is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or related field.
• 5+ years in business development or sales of complex, solution-based services.
• Strong knowledge of Gulf Coast industrial landscape and project cycles.
• Experience navigating long multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the Gulf Coast region.
• CRM and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities for industrial storage and project buffering across the Gulf Coast.
• Develop a dedicated pipeline for storage and preservation of critical equipment with stakeholders.
• Position storage and buffering as risk mitigation and schedule protection.
• Build a pipeline across EPCs, energy, petrochemical, and port-related businesses.
• Engage early in project planning cycles with engineering to design solutions.
• Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and present a integrated value proposition.
• Coordinate across Barnhart branches for multi-site opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project management to create proposals.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis for Gulf Coast segments.
• Represent Barnhart at industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads.
• Meet or exceed annual revenue and gross margin targets; support yard capacity utilization.
