Job summary

University of Central Florida is seeking a Student Accounts Analyst within Financial Affairs. You will manage employer-sponsored tuition billing from eligibility to payment reconciliation and refunds, liaising with Guild Education and campus offices to ensure accurate processing.

Successful candidates will understand student fee assessment, third-party billing, 1098-T, deferrals, and online payments, with a focus on delivering a positive student experience in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 0+ years of relevant experience or equivalent per Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting and interpreting data insights.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Query, updating query criteria.
• Experience addressing inquiries from customers, students, or clients in a financial/administrative capacity.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Liaise as the university liaison with Guild Education and campus offices regarding billing, policy changes, timing of billing/payment, and sponsor requirements.
• Calculate sponsored tuition, housing charges, and offsetting scholarship amounts per sponsor rules.
• Respond to questions about tuition, waivers, Florida Prepaid, 1098-T, deferrals, refunds, and related processes.
• Present tuition information clearly to alleviate misunderstandings about student responsibilities.
• Resolve elevated customer service issues not resolved by other staff.
• Process refunds and revenue share payments to Guild Education per the MOU.
• Coordinate billing and refunds with Federal, State, local agencies, Financial Aid, Payment Processing, and other offices.
• Assemble, review, verify, and post data for financial records and general ledger entries.
• Review and post group transactions and group postings as needed.
• Adhere to Federal Regulations, Florida Statutes, Privacy Act and security requirements.
