Job summary

San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Status Board Operator in Las Vegas to manage guest housekeeping requests and prepare daily room assignments for Guest Room Attendants. You will log calls, monitor arrivals/departures, and coordinate with Rooms Controller to ensure timely service.

This role requires strong organizational skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hotel environment. Fluency in English is required; Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience; ability to provide courteous and efficient service.
• Ability to maintain an efficient, organized tracking system for guest calls and Lost & Found.
• Excellent communication, positive attitude, attention to detail, and timely guest/staff request completion.
• Professional, clear and concise communication.
• Familiarity with housekeeping operations and computer literacy.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Must be familiar with AS400 LMS System.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, MSDS and OSHA guidelines is beneficial.
• English fluency required; Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log and handle guest and other telephone calls to housekeeping.
• Prepare daily room assignments for GRAs and distribute keys, radios and pagers.
• Check daily arrivals, departures, & VIP reports; liaise with Rooms Controller for special requests.
• Monitor computer system for check-out updates and ensure vacant-inspected rooms returned to Front Desk.
• Spot check uniform standards and appearance of housekeeping staff.
• Monitor occupancy levels to ensure full coverage and report shortages/overages.
• Log all lost property and maintain Lost & Found records.
• Log staff tardiness, sickness and absenteeism and inform management.
• Ensure staff follow keys, radio and pager procedures and keep records updated.
• Coordinate maintenance calls and communicate with Maintenance and Rooms Controller.
• Update housekeeping management on daily operations.
• Track laundry, dry cleaning and rollaway rentals.
• Handle guest and internal requests and complaints with prompt action and follow-up.
• Assist Housekeeping Management in administrative tasks.
• Takes ownership of situations and tasks, communicates progress, and delivers results efficiently.
• Follow the lead of Assistant Executive Housekeeper and accept additional tasks.
