Job summary

The Study at Johns Hopkins is seeking a full-time Guest Service Agent to provide authentic hospitality and top-quality service. You will handle front desk operations including check-ins/outs, reservations, requests, and inquiries under the supervision of the Guest Service Manager.

We seek energetic, service-oriented individuals with 1 year of customer-facing experience and strong communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year within a customer-facing role.
• Proficiency in English required. A second language is desirable.
• Intermediate computer skills with Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality and customer service.
• Complete guest check-in and check-out, assign rooms and process payments.
• Maintain room inventory of vacancies, reservations, and assignments.
• Answer inquiries and accept reservations, communicate rates, and use suggestive selling.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to manage guest requests and inquiries.
• Attend to guests' needs, wake-up calls, taxis, restaurant recommendations, billing issues and complaints.
• Log charges and payments, ensure accurate hotel records and guest charges at checkout.
• Support other team members to enhance department and hotel performance.
• Follow company handbook policies and maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure awareness of in-house VIPs.
