Sonesta International Hotels in Duluth, GA is seeking a Guest Services Agent to join our front desk team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling check-ins, information requests, and guest relations during shifts.

The role requires high school diploma, English fluency, and prior hotel or retail service experience. Familiarity with Opera and Microsoft Office, ServSafe and TIPS certifications are a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience or retail customer service preferred.
• English fluency; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Math skills including budgeting and variances preferred.
• Problem solving, organizing and training abilities preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification required.
• TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location. Answer phones promptly.
• Accurately process all cash and credit transactions per procedures, post charges, prepare deposits, and secure bank.
• Maintain security of cash, credit card transactions, and guest information.
• Book guest reservations for individuals or groups; process cancellations and updates; up-sell rooms.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategy for room type and pricing.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other shifts.
• Service the shoppe and the pour; follow local alcohol laws and ensure guest service.
• Fulfill guest special requests and ensure proper delivery of services.
• Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Comply with health, safety, and alcohol service laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
