Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Duluth is seeking a Guest Services Agent to join the front desk team. You will greet guests, issue keys, answer calls, and assist with reservations while upholding Sonesta Service standards.

The role requires strong English communication, cash handling, and the ability to upsell and balance daily transactions. You may work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hotel or retail customer service experience.
• Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems.
• ServSafe certification required.
• TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide hotel information; answer phones.
• Process cash and card transactions per procedures and maintain daily reports.
• Maintain security of cash, transactions, and guest information.
• Routinely book reservations and upsell rooms when possible.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategy for pricing and occupancy.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with shifts and management.
• Assist guests at the shoppe and with beverage service per local laws.
• Fulfill guest requests and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Issue and manage guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Adhere to health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
