Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation seeks a Guest Services Agent to deliver Sonesta Service at the front desk, handling check-ins/outs, answering questions, and coordinating with hotel operations. You will manage cash and card transactions, assist with reservations, upsell rooms, and uphold guest privacy while working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in Chicago.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of hotel or retail customer service experience preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• ServSafe and TIPS certifications may be required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with Opera systems preferred.
• Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on services.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit card transactions and related reports.
• Maintain security of guest information and payment data.
• Assist with reservations; upsell rooms when appropriate.
• Support front desk technology systems and guest relations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and alcohol service rules.
• Deliver outstanding service consistent with Sonesta standards.
