Sonesta International Hotels in Chicago is seeking a Guest Services Agent to deliver Sonesta Service at the front desk, handle guest relations, reservations, and payments, and support the Operations Manager.

The role requires English fluency, a High School diploma, hotel or retail experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Opera systems, and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hotel or retail customer service experience preferred.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); other languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta service to guests at the front desk and answer phones promptly.
• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately following procedures.
• Maintain security of guest information and payment data.
• Upsell rooms when appropriate to maximize revenue.
• Assist with reservations and changes as needed.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies and promote teamwork across shifts.
