Job summary

Q Hotels in Houma, LA seeks front desk staff to warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, and handle reservations. You will promptly answer calls and provide accurate information while being knowledgeable about local attractions and area services.

Must be willing to work all shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) with a pay range of $13.00–$14.00 per hour. Prior Opera PMS experience is a huge plus, and hotel systems knowledge is essential for accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Make new reservations for incoming guest.
• Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information.
• Knowledgeable of immediate area, services, attractions, and events.
• Knowledgeable of fire and emergency procedures.
• Use of Opera PMS a huge plus.
• Works well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time.
• Able to accommodate a flexible schedule that may include weekends and/or holidays.
• Familiar with hotel systems and operations and can enter in information accurately.
• Outside-of-the-box thinker who takes initiative to creatively solve problems.
