Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking a part-time Guest Services Staff member for the University of Wisconsin - Madison. You will warmly welcome attendees, assist with event setup, monitor areas, and help guests with information to ensure a positive experience.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have customer service or hospitality experience, and demonstrate strong communication, reliability, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or event-related roles is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse individuals.
• Strong problem-solving abilities; stay calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and engage for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by warmly welcoming and assisting event attendees with their needs.
• Assist with event set-up, including arranging equipment, signage, and other tasks as assigned.
• Monitor event areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with venue policies.
• Answer questions and provide information about the event, facilities, and amenities to guests.
• Guide and direct guests to appropriate locations, such as seating areas, restrooms, concession stands, and exits.
• Address guest inquiries, complaints, or issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with event staff, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth event operations.
• Assist with crowd management, when necessary, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a high standard of professionalism and service excellence.
