Responsibilities

• Assist Event Manager with pre-event setup and post-event cleanup, distribute programs, and manage ushers.
• Assist patrons during performances and events on campus.
• Support and resolve ticket scanning issues and supervise ushers/volunteers.
• Assist in Valet Operation as Cashier and use POS system in Tessitura.
• Ensure patron safety by following emergency procedures and CPR/first aid basics.

Job description

We are seeking part-time/seasonal Guest Services Representatives to join our team. In this role, you will aid the Event Manager in providing exceptional customer service, supervising ushers, and ensuring the comfort and safety of our guests. This position requires outstanding customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to maintain a calm demeanor and a positive attitude. You will also interact directly with patrons attending shows and events at the Center—providing assistance and direction.

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists the Event Manager with the pre-event set-up/post-event cleanup including distributing/storage of event programs; setting up/breaking down of easels, tables, stanchions; checking in ushers; and resolving any issues found during the pre-event house check.
• Assist patrons during performances and events on campus.
• Assists in the support and resolution of ticket scanning issues and minor, routine complaint handling. Supervise and support ushers/volunteers.
• Assist in Valet Operation as Cashier; requires working with POS system in Tessitura.
• Ensures patron safety by following proper emergency procedures regarding building evacuations, use of CPR and minor first aid.
• Other duties as required.

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be able to lift / carry up to 30lbs. and stand for an extended period of time on hard surfaces.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This is a part-time/seasonal role that includes weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts. This position requires the ability to lift or move items weighing up to 30 lbs. Duties may involve navigating stairs, crouching, reaching, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and sitting for various durations; requires frequent and prolonged periods of standing on marble floors; must be able to read small print in low-light conditions and respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations; requires sufficient visual ability to observe surroundings and maintain situational awareness. Auditory acuity is also essential to effectively hear and respond to verbal communication, alarms, and other auditory signals, particularly in potentially noisy or crowded environments.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $16.50
