Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a Front Desk Associate in Orange Beach, AL to check guests in and out, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. You will process reservations, verify registrations, and balance cash while upholding brand standards.

The role emphasizes guest relations, accuracy, and a friendly, professional demeanor, with opportunities to collaborate with Housekeeping and other departments. Training is on-the-job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–12 months of guest relations experience with this company or other organizations.
• Excellent computer and cash handling skills; ability to stand for extended periods.
• Sociable, outgoing, guest service-oriented demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out, process reservations, provide quotes for room rates, and up-sell the guest.
• Verify registration cards against computer to ensure accuracy of name, payment type, rate, and market segment.
• Pre-register, block reservations, and handle same-day and future reservations according to rate structures and sell strategies.
• Balance cash and charges; ensure correct charges are posted to guest folios.
• Resolve guest complaints and assist with hotel services, directions, local attractions, and inquiries.
• Handle phone activity and provide general knowledge to callers.
• Cancel room reservations according to procedures.
• Greet guests professionally and coordinate with Front Desk and Housekeeping teams.
