Modus by PM Hotel Group in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant Guest Services Manager to lead front desk operations and guest experiences. The role requires shifting across days, nights, holidays, and weekends with a focus on team development and operational excellence.

As a salaried position reporting to the Rooms Manager, you will coach staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold service standards in a boutique hotel setting. The posted salary range is $52,000–$55,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hotel experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Knowledgeable about the local neighborhood and DC area.
• Proficient with computers, databases, and hotel PMS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the MOD during your shift and make on-shift decisions.
• Involve yourself in day-to-day operations and cover all three shifts as needed.
• Lead by example; maintain integrity and a positive guest service mindset.
• Provide leadership across day, night, holiday, and weekend shifts.
• Coach and train the team within the service culture and ethos.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan the guest experience from start to finish.
• Foster a positive environment and manage funds responsibly.
