Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Phoenix is seeking a Guest Services Agent to welcome guests, manage front desk operations, and support the Operations Manager for a smooth guest experience. You will be the first point of contact, handling reservations, guest inquiries, and payments while ensuring security of guest information.

The role requires fluent English, strong communication skills, basic math, and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hotel or retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required.
• TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and card transactions and manage deposits and reports.
• Maintain security of guest information and financial transactions.
• Book reservations and up-sell rooms when possible to maximize revenue.
• Coordinate with other shifts and management to ensure service quality.
• Assist with front desk technology systems and guest relations during shifts.
• Comply with health, safety, and alcohol service laws.
