Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking a Customer Service/Office Attendant for our Patient Housing and shuttle operations in Juneau, Alaska. This role supports guest check-ins, coordinates transportation, and maintains house/housing logistics with attention to privacy and safety.

You will handle front-desk tasks, schedule shuttle pickups, assist guests in navigating facilities, and document room readiness and inventory while delivering friendly, efficient service across

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license is required.
• 21 years of age or older preferred.
• 1–2 years of general office/hospitality experience desired.
• Knowledge of Privacy Act of 1974 to safeguard confidential information.
• Customer service concepts and practices are essential.
• Proficient in operating a computer with various software applications.
• Strong oral and written interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to respond quickly in urgent situations with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone, copy, fax, and scan appropriate information to departments.
• Provide support for guest/escort with empathy and practical knowledge.
• Assist patients in and out of vehicles and with baggage or miscellaneous tasks.
• Communicate shift-change information to coworkers and notify supervisor of issues.
• Approve timecards bi-weekly and report discrepancies.
• Restock office supplies and email supply orders to supervisor.
• Create shuttle pickup appointments and maintain the shuttle calendar.
• Transport guests to ferry terminals, airports, and SEARHC facilities as requested.
• Maintain monthly vehicle maintenance logs and notify supervisor when completed.
• Maintain housing reservations by updating cancellations and room status.
• Check room readiness and coordinate with Housekeeping.
• Complete guest registration and inform guests of amenities and policies.
• Contact security for any evictions at patient housing and monitor housing requests.
