Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks a Hotel Front Desk Agent in Sitka, AK. The role is the first point of contact for guests, managing check-ins/check-outs and coordinating airport transportation.

You will answer inquiries, handle staff travel arrangements, and ensure a welcoming stay while upholding safety standards. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or hospitality training preferred.
• Alaska Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred; knowledge of local airports and attractions helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
• Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the property management system.
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
• Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
• Handle payments, issue room keys, and maintain accurate guest account records.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
• Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Process and manage staff travel ticket arrangements, including coordinating bookings and providing after-hours support to travelers.
• Operate the hotel shuttle safely and courteously to transport guests and employees to and from the airport and approved destinations.
• Conduct timely airport pickups and drop-offs while maintaining transportation logs and schedules.
• Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure shuttle vehicles remain clean and presentable.
• Coordinate transportation requests with front desk operations.
• Comply with all traffic laws and vehicle safety requirements.
