The role emphasizes handling daily tasks, accuracy with POS transactions, and helping customers with store services while upholding Hy-Vee policies and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Resolve practical problems and interpret instructions in various situations with limited standardization.
• Perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages accurately.
• File, post, and organize materials; copy data between records and gather information as needed.
• Guide customers and provide clear, helpful directions in a professional manner.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, team members, and store leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Weigh postal packages, process various mail types, and handle certified/insured mail.
• Process Western Union orders and send faxes for customers.
• Sell money orders and cash checks.
• Sell hunting and fishing licenses.
• Handle cash drawer deposits and paid outs.
