Qualifications

• High school graduate level math aptitude; knowledge of standard cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems.
• Past experience dealing with the public and basic customer service skills.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Able to use tact and understanding with diverse customer service scenarios, including stressful situations.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greets and completes check‑in procedures for arriving guests, using manual and computerized methods to satisfy and place guests in rooms.
• Facilitates check‑out following established procedures to close accounts and prepare rooms for the next guest.
• Handles cash transactions accurately and maintains hotel records and receipts.
• Answers inquiries and accepts reservations, communicates rates, and uses suggestive selling to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Maintains customer relations by staying informed on in‑house functions to answer questions promptly.
• Operates PBX equipment; handles wake‑up calls and paging to provide timely service.
• Controls personal bank cash per hotel policy and maintains a courteous demeanor at all times.
