Job summary

AEG Presents is seeking a part-time Guest Services usher/ticket taker to ensure a safe, friendly and efficient guest experience at events in Detroit. You will assist guests, check coats and tickets, manage entry wristbands, and support ADA patrons while upholding venue policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, reliability, strong communication, and the ability to stand for long periods in a loud, fast-paced venue environment. Nights, weekends and holidays are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance.
• Ability to work in loud and fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude with superior customer service and team orientation.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods.
• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer guest questions and direct guests to restrooms, ATM, coat checks, VIP areas and concert areas.
• Operate coat check rooms within established guidelines.
• Scan tickets, administer wristbands for entry (21+, VIP Access, Private Event).
• Greet guests, resolve complaints and escalate concerns as needed.
• Seat guests and assist ADA patrons.
• Enforce venue policies and complete required trainings.
• Act in evacuation and safety procedures with guests during emergencies.
• Monitor venue during guest arrival and exit to comply with safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as deemed by management.
