Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a friendly, organized Guest Services Coordinator for the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC) in Illinois. This part-time role oversees staffing, training, and registration processes while supporting the recreation department.

Hours are typically 8:30am-12:30pm weekdays, with nights and weekends as needed. Pay is $20.50 per hour. Benefits include IMRF pension, 20 vacation hours after one year, 3 paid holidays, and a free gym membership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• C.P.R., AED, and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire date.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience with RecTrac and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate training for guest services staff.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining customer service standards.
• Ensure guest services staff completes clerical and registration functions according to park district guidelines and expectations.
• Oversee functional use of RecTrac and WebTrac systems, ensuring efficient utilization and accurate recordkeeping.
• Covers guest services desk on a regular basis, including nights and weekends as necessary.
• Promptly addresses patron inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and facilitates training for guest services staff.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining customer service standards.
• Ensures guest services staff completes clerical and registration functions according to park district guidelines and expectations.
• Oversees functional use of RecTrac and WebTrac systems, ensuring efficient utilization, adherence to best practices, and accurate recordkeeping

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.
• Candidate must be dependable and able to possess good judgment in difficult situations.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well with the public and other staff.
• C.P.R., AED, and First Aid Certification required; or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire date.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office knowledge; Experience with Rectrac is preferred
