Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Guest Services Agent for the Marriott Suites Deerfield property. You will greet guests, complete registrations, and assist with check-out while ensuring outstanding guest service and accurate payments.

The role requires clear English communication, teamwork, and the ability to operate a point-of-sale system. You will handle currency exchange, promote hotel services, resolve inquiries, and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information, confirming guest details and room rate, and issuing keys.
• Assist guests with checkout, handle payments, currency exchange, and gift certificates using the POS system.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel services, local area and promotions; answer guest questions and inquiries.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally; resolve complaints.
• Input, retrieve and relay messages to guests; operate hotel computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer.
• Assist guests with check-out, ensuring rooms and services are properly accounted for and processed.
• Promote marketing programs and provide a welcome packet; ensure guests know room locations.
• Handle various payment methods, convert currency, and process gift certificates and cards.
• Answer questions about room categories, rates, packages, promotions and local area.
• Upsell hotel services to maximize occupancy and guest satisfaction.
• Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and document interactions in the CRM.
