Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking a friendly Guest Services Staff member for the University of Wisconsin – Madison events. This part-time role emphasizes delivering exceptional service to attendees, helping with information, directions, and general support to create a positive experience.

You will greet guests, assist with setup and crowd management as needed, coordinate with staff and vendors, and uphold venue policies. Pay is $15/hr with flexible evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service or hospitality experience helpful
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and engage in activities for extended periods
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by warmly welcoming and assisting event attendees
• Assist with event set-up, including arranging equipment and signage
• Monitor event areas for cleanliness, organization, and policy compliance
• Answer questions and provide information about the event, facilities, and amenities
• Guide guests to seating areas, restrooms, concession stands, and exits
• Address guest inquiries, complaints, or issues promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with event staff, vendors, and team members for smooth operations
• Assist with crowd management to ensure safety and enjoyment
