Job summary

ASH Hotels in Venice Beach, CA is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent to be the welcoming face at our front desk. You will manage check-ins/outs, support reservations, and assist guests with dining and activity recommendations to enhance their stay.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in guest services or front desk roles, experience with PMS systems (e.g., Mews), strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in guest services or front desk
• Experience with PMS systems (Mews) is a plus
• Strong verbal communication and a genuinely warm, professional phone and in-person manner
• Basic math and cash-handling accuracy
• Ability to multitask and stay composed during high-volume check-in/out periods

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests at check-in and check-out
• Operate the PMS to process reservations, check-ins/outs, room assignments, and payments
• Handle cash, credit transactions, and folio adjustments with precision
• Answer phone and email inquiries, provide rates, availability, and services
• Anticipate guest needs and offer local dining and activities recommendations
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and escalate when appropriate
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready
• Maintain guest records, shift logs, and reports
• Support group check-ins, events, and VIP arrivals with attention to detail
• Upsell when appropriate and stay current on promotions
