Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Agent to deliver warm, efficient front desk service and assist the Operations Manager in daily tasks. You will greet guests, check in/out, handle reservations, and ensure guest satisfaction across the lobby and front desk systems.

Successful candidates will have at least a high school diploma, hotel or retail experience, and strong communication skills. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location. Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit card transactions, post charges, handle deposits, and secure bank.
• Maintain security of cash, credit card transactions, and guest information.
• May book guest reservations, process cancellations, and upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Follow seasonal demand reservation strategy for room types and lengths of stay.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with shifts and management.
• Service the shoppe and the pour, adhere to local alcohol laws, and deliver guest services.
