About The Role

Are you ready to join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences? My Place Hotel is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Guest Services Representative. In this key role, you will be the central point of contact for guests, ensuring their stay is seamless from reservation to check-out. If you're an organized, dependable multitasker with a positive attitude and strong knowledge of the local area, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Location: My Place Hotel- Wixom/Novi

What You'll Do

As a Guest Services Representative, your shift will be filled with various tasks aimed at providing top-notch service to our guests:

  1. Guest Interaction: Welcome and greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor. Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, manage reservations, and record charges accurately for rooms, taxes, My Store purchases, and pet fees according to hotel policy.
  2. Guest Assistance: Provide information about the hotel, amenities, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, and churches. Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally.
  3. Telephone Management: Operate the phone system with proper etiquette, take and transfer calls, record messages accurately, and manage wake-up calls.
  4. Financial Transactions: Handle credit card authorizations, cash transactions, and provide change for guests accurately.
  5. Administrative Duties: Keep organized records of daily activities, prepare the Night Audit Checklist, manage cash and call logs, and update the Front Desk Log. Report issues to the General Manager.
  6. Safety & Security: Follow all safety protocols, inspect the property regularly, check outside doors and lighting for security.
  7. Loyalty Program Promotion: Promote the Stay Rewarded Loyalty Program to enhance guest loyalty and satisfaction.
  8. Cleaning: Assist with laundry, cleaning and sanitizing common areas, stocking supplies, making coffee, and ensuring entrances are snow and ice free.
  9. Support Services: Provide guest supplies, issue and track master keys and key cards for staff.
  10. Housekeeping Assistance: Help with cleaning guest rooms when necessary, especially during busy periods or staff shortages.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Organizational & Multi-Tasking Abilities: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in financial transactions and record keeping.
