Job summary

Daly Seven is seeking a Guest Service Agent to welcome guests and act as a brand ambassador. You will ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs, assist with reservations, and provide local guidance with warmth and accuracy.

The role involves handling cash, operating the switchboard, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting breakfast setup. Prior hotel or customer service experience is preferred, with strong communication skills throughout.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel brand experience and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and check them in and out with speed and accuracy.
• Be the go-to expert for local attractions, restaurants, and events for guests.
• Handle guest complaints with professional care and concern.
• Promote the franchise membership club and help guests plan future stays at Daly Seven properties.
• If rooms are full, assist guests in finding lodging via referrals.
• Maintain accuracy in cash handling, drawer balancing, and shift reports.
• Operate the switchboard and master computer operations.
• Keep lobby and office clean and set up continental breakfast and coffee service.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents as needed.

As a Guest Service Agent at Daly Seven, you are more than just a front desk agent—you are our brand ambassador, a local expert, and the friendly face that welcomes our guests home. We don’t just check people in; we create seamless, memorable experiences through speed, accuracy, and genuine care.What You’ll DoCreate Connections & Solve ProblemsGreet guests with warmth, checking them in and out with friendliness, speed, and accuracy.Be the go-to expert for local attractions, restaurants, and events, using specific publications and maps to provide directions.Handle guest complaints with professional care and concern.Promote our franchise membership club and help guests secure future stays at your hotel and other Daly Seven properties.If our hotel is full, you will proactively help guests find lodging via referrals.Master the DetailsMaintain accuracy in handling cash, managing the cash drawer, and balancing shift reports daily.Take and record reservations accurately, verify credit card validity, and stay updated on daily and future reservation status.Operate the switchboard, master computer operations (including shutdown procedures), and maintain the location of the ADA box.Ensure the lobby and office are clean at all times, and expertly set up the continental breakfast and coffee service.Ensure Safety & SecurityAct as a vital part of our security team by reporting potential hazards and investigating alleged injuries in the absence of a manager.Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, the fire system (including shutting off false alarms), and the location of emergency lights and utility cut-offs (gas, electric, and water).Complete Incident Reports for guests or Accident Reports for employees when necessary.This job description is a general summary of duties and is not an exhaustive list.
